The mechanism of felodipine's action is mainly in two aspects: 1. It can reduce the blood pressure of the system; 2. It can make the glomerular afferent arterioles expand permanently. Therefore, felodipine can increase renal blood flow and glomerular filtration rate, improve the condition of renal ischemia, and prevent the disorder of renal vascular and glomerular structure and function.

The main effect of felodipine is to reduce the systolic blood pressure and pulse pressure of patients, improve the endothelial function of blood vessels, and achieve the degree of anti-atherosclerosis.
It is used to treat hypertension. It is a selective calcium ion antagonist, which mainly inhibits the inflow of extracellular calcium in the smooth muscle of small arteries, selectively expands small arteries, has no effect on veins, and does not cause orthostatic hypotension;
