Gs-441524 is phosphorylated into nucleoside monophosphate (NMP) by cytokinase in cells, and then transformed into an active triphosphate metabolite (NTP structural analogue). In viral RNA synthesis, the active NTP analogues compete with the naturalnucleosides (ATP, TTP, CTP, GTP) to participate in RNA transcription.
