USE:
Streptozotocin is an antibiotic derived from the leuco gene streptozotocin. Although it is a nitrosourea, the properties of these drugs are greatly different due to its glucose moiety and lack of ethyl chloride. In ethyl chloride nitrosourea. It has an alkylation effect but cannot cross-link DNA and prevents precursors from binding to DNA. This drug is cell cycle non-specific, but it is most sensitive to cells in S phase.
