Isophthalic acid nature:
The crystal of isopthalic acid is colorless from water or ethanol. Slightly soluble in water, insoluble in benzene, toluene and petroleum ether, soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone and glacial acetic acid.
Isophthalic acid application:
Isophthalic acid is used in the production of alkyd resin, unsaturated polyester resin and other polymers and plasticizers. It is also used in the manufacture of film couplers, coatings, polyester fiber dyeing modifiers and pharmaceuticals.
