Dimethoxybenzene Chemical property:
1,3-dimethoxybenzene is a colorless and transparent liquid, m P. - 52 ℃, B.P. 216.5-217.7 ℃, relative density 1.0705 (4 ℃), insoluble in water, and miscible with alcohol, benzene, ether and chloroform.
Dimethoxybenzene Purpose：
1,3-dimethoxybenzene is an intermediate of the synthesis of acaricide, and can also be used to prepare UV-9.
It is used as the intermediate of naphthalene dyes, coatings and plastics, as well as the perfume of soap, detergent and ointment.
2,4-dimethoxybenzophenone was synthesized by Friedel Crafts reaction of benzoyl chloride with benzoyl chloride in the presence of AlCl3. This is the intermediate of UV-9.
