TTC is used in organic synthesis and acts as a protecting agent for alcohols, amines and thiols in several reactions by introducing the trityl protecting group. For pharma application, Trityl Chloride is used as a pharmaceuticals intermediate and as reagent. TTC is used for the synthesis of APIs with several activity, such as antibacterial, antiviral, anticystic fibrotic, antineoplastic, antithrombic, antihypertensive, renal protectant and many others uses.
