Description
D-Glucosamine hydrochloride is an aminosugar and a major precursor for the biochemical synthesis of glycosylated proteins and lipids used as a dietary supplement. It is also a natural component of glycosaminoglycans in the cartilage matrix and synovial fluid, and when administered exogenously can have pharmacological effects on osteoarthritic cartilage and chondrocytes.
